We managed to see lots of suppliers and listened into a couple of the seminars which were really interesting. We’ll be back this year and can’t wait to see how much bigger the event will be. It is the perfect opportunity for us to network with the industry, discover new companies, and most importantly, source new products for us to supply to our customers.”

In the dedicated Supply Chain Zone, the supply chain seminars will host experts speakers from the likes of SMMT, Jaguar Land Rover, Industry Forum, National Composites Centre and the AIO. The presentations cater for the supply chain audience including senior management, engineers and procurement professionals from vehicle manufacturers, tier 1, tier 2 and upstream manufacturers.
Visitors will see sessions covering innovation and research & development, connected & autonomous vehicles, manufacturing technologies, industry 4.0 & advanced manufacturing, and logistics & supply chain.
Paul Longstaff, MCIPS Senior Buyer from Calsonic Kansei said “I’ve registered for the 2017 event already. Automechanika Birmingham is a great opportunity to see the new technologies and product launches for the automotive supply chain all in one place. The event gives me a chance to catch up with familiar faces and discover new ones and I think the new dedicated supply chain zone will help me to do that. While I’m there, I’ll head to the SMMT events and I’m looking forward to finding out who will be hosting the supply chain seminars.”
