More Quality Meetings

Newly introduced in time for 2018 is the event's facilitated meetings programme which will match the needs of visitors with the capabilities of suppliers and help to arrange business meetings on stands.

Extended hours

Automechanika Birmingham will extend the opening hours on one day of the exhibition to allow more time for networking. In an informal atmosphere, Automechanika Birmingham will welcome visitors to stay longer and allow exhibitors to benefit from further networking with new and existing customers on their stands.

Future thinking

Motorsport Valley® Innovation 

 Presented by the MIA, in association with Staubli this feature is an interactive showcase of cutting edge technologies, fostering closer collaboration between OEM automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers, MIA members of the motorsport and high-performance engineering industry.

Tomorrow's Mobility

New for 2018, Automechanika Birmingham will host a dedicated area showcasing future technology on connected and autonomous vehicles, electrification and vehicle manufacturer mobility initiatives. Only the latest technologies and advanced solutions will be shown here at the show.

Attracting more workshops

Garage Quarter

A new dedicated hall layout will include an area specifically for suppliers of tools, garage equipment and those who want to meet workshops, MOT centres and autocentres.

Enhanced Workshop Training Hub

  • Bigger and better than last year, the Workshop Training Zone will host live demonstrations on the latest equipment, parts and components. The live demonstrations will be hosted by expert speakers, partners and suppliers including Frank Massey, James Dillon & Andy Crook as well as Andy Savva.  It's an active session you don't want to miss!

Garage Social

The Garage Social will offer workshops and garages a chance to take a break, gather their thoughts and network with similar minded workshop businesses in an informal area in the halls.

Business Services Village

  • Held in the Garage Quarter, the new area will offer a hub of business advice from a range of product and service providers, ranging from finance and insurance to marketing and IT requirements. Exhibitors include: AA Garage Guide,, D-Grease, Pro-moto, EDT Automotive

Garage of the Year

The Garage of the Year competition will run again in 2018, attracting regional garages to enter the competition to win the title 'Garage of the Year' and a cash prize!

Expert speakers will be on hand to update buyers on programme of education and insight in to key developments, issues and challenges for the aftermarket. Learn from the experts from SMMT, IAAF, The IMI, Gipa UK, The Motor Ombudsman. 

Keynote Panel & Speaker Programme

Head to the keynote speaker panels to hear influential voices in the industry discuss  the latest on Connectivity & the Aftermarket, Electrification, Digitalisation of Distribution & Retail. Hear from the likes of Frost & Sullivan, The IMI, SMMT and more.

Specialist Demo Hub

Newly launched and designed for mobile repairers and bodyshops, the Specialist Demo Hub offers practical demonstrations of collision repair, refinishing, corrosion, ADAS, windscreen replacement and repair.

Retail Village

A dedicated area for suppliers of vehicle accessories, designed to help retailers find the latest supplies for their stores. Exhibitors include:

SMMT Events

Open Forum

Automechanika Birmingham is held in association with SMMT, who will bring their influential events, Open Forum and Meet the Buyer. The two events attract several hundred senior delegates, allowing for further networking opportunities. Open Forum will offer a morning of automotive supply chain seminars attracting several hundred delegates from OEMs, tier 1, medium and small suppliers.
